A time to try something new

I have been enjoying the springtime weather recently - and am so thankful that our little preview of the summer heat went back into hiding (for now) so we can savor the cool evenings and not-too-hot daytime sun a little while longer. As the warmer temperatures bring a hint of the summer months ahead, the gardens and trees start to bloom, and it makes me excited to try new things.

Your Administrative Council has been exploring the idea of trying something new in worship this summer, and voted last week to move forward with one worship service for a couple months. So I am writing to announce that every Sunday in June and July, we will combine to one church service at 9:30 am – just for 2 months in the summer. This is a wonderful opportunity to worship together as one body in Christ, meet new people, and try something a little different. We think you’ll love it! (And if you don’t, that’s okay. We will bring back the 8am service starting August 2.)

Immediately after worship, you are invited to the Activity Center for Family Sunday school. We are still planning the details, but there will be several options for both adults and children to enjoy together (including coffee and something to munch on). We hope you’ll plan to stay a little longer and participate in this opportunity for fellowship, service, and growing together in Christ.
